Ellie Ward (Florence Nightingale)

Ellie Ward is coming 'home' to play Florence Nightingale. Ellie was born and raised in Bolsover and was a member of the Pomegranate Theatre Youth Theatre.  

Ellie moved to London to attend the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts before attending the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Ellie is enrolled in the creative writing course at Roehampton University and is writing, producing & performing for the immersive theatre company, Cutter & Squidge.

As a 16 year old actor, Ellie stunned audiences when she performed the role of Rita  in Willy Russell's 'Educating Rita'. Other performances have included Nancy (Oliver Twist), Iago (An Evening With Shakespeare), 

Ellie was Performance Manager at the West End based Cutter and Squidge’s immersive production of the Potion Room where she wrote the original script, cast, managed and directed a cast of actors and also had administrative duties contributing towards the day-to-day running of the production. She is also Assistant Artistic Director for London based theatre and education company, Creative Acts, who tour schools and nurseries with short, interactive shows and drama, music and movement classes. Ellie is now very experienced in taking leading roles in the writing of, performance of and organising logistics of Creative Acts tours.

Ellie is writing the schools version of Kissing Miss Nightingale's Shadow.
